Baseball players may complain about their shoulders hurting, but the real underlining cause is that the hip area is not moving the way the body is supposed to because of muscle issues and then the rest of the body tries to make the throwing motion work by adapting incorrectly the movement of the shoulder joint. A shoulder, for example will move forward to try to correct an unstable hip that is moved back.

Football/Hockey players have hip pain & tight hips because the way the muscles are moving the bones causing secondary muscles to become prime movers instead of the Quads and Hamstrings.
